Ka Wela `Ana

Ka Wela `Ana exists of five musicians and specializes in dance music of different Polynesian countries. Acoustic stringed instruments and harmony singing are the main ingredients. The group accompanies the dancing of the Faka Polinisia dancing team.

The ensemble contributed to the two main CD productions of Mundo Étnico: Fiafia, Kaparima. Vela Vela! and Talofa!. On these CD productions guest musicians are featured as well. Examples are Hawaiian old timer Frans van Oirschot on steel guitar, and young percussionists Michiel van den Boer (Remax) and Bart de Bie (Maltisbabba).
