 Primary Schools
There are a number of educational
programmes specifically made for primary schools in the Netherlands and
the Dutch speaking part of Belgium. In these programmes aspects of Pacific
cultures are presented by means of storytelling songs and dances from
Samoa, Tonga, Tuvalu, Fiji, Maori New Zealand, Cook Islands, Hawai`i and
elsewhere. Some programmes include a color slide presentation.
There are performances for each
age group plus workshops and a final performance by all children of a
school for their parents in the main programme called Fiafia. It is based
on the contents of the book and cd. which are also called
Fiafia.
